About Us

Skyline Structural Steel was founded in 2012 to fabricate and erect structural and miscellaneous steel in the Midwest and beyond. Recently we have moved into a much larger facility in the heart of Kansas City, Mo with over 115,000 square feet of shop and office space located on nine acres.

Equipped with 11 overhead cranes, a Python robotic steel fabrication system, a CNC tube and pipe processor, and several other pieces of processing equipment, we can handle some of the toughest jobs. An AISC member and working to be certified by the end of 2025, Skyline Structural Steel is poised to continue growing with even more opportunities.

Our resume includes several schools, universities, city facilities, hospitals, emergency clinics, and several FEMA shelters. Skyline Structure Steel is ready to take on any project.

Owner and founder Tim McKenna has over 30 years of experience in the steel industry, ironworking not only in Kansas City out of the Ironworkers Local #10, but in Canada on several oil sands projects in the oil refinery process, sales, estimating, project management and ownership. As an owner/operator he stays involved with every aspect of our process and strives to continue to make improvements in our procedures, personnel, and equipment.
